Access Matters exists to fight for accessibility, so this website has to hold itself to the same standard. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA across the site.
What we’ve done
- High-contrast colour palette checked against WCAG AA contrast ratios
- The Lexend typeface, designed for reading proficiency, at a generous default size
- Descriptive alternative text on images
- Proper heading structure, keyboard-reachable navigation and forms with visible labels
- Plain English throughout — no legalese without a translation
Known limitations
Some decorative images are loaded from an external image service. We’re working through the site to keep every meaningful image described in text. If you find a page that doesn’t work with your screen reader, magnifier, switch access or anything else — that’s a bug, and we genuinely want to hear about it.
